School Organizations are a great way to find your niche at the Art Institute of Dallas.

AD CLUB

Mission: To promote the study of the discipline of Advertising and to help AiDallas students become successful in planning and beginning careers in advertising.

CAPTURE

Mission: To provide social and professional networking and the exchange of ideas to students interested in the art of photography.Meets Wednesday at 5pm on even weeks.

COMIC BOOK CLUB

Mission: To bring like-minded students together to promote and enjoy comics as an art form.Meets Mondays at 12pm.

DALLAS GLAM

Mission: To promote camaraderie and to enlighten Fashion and Retail Management students to business practices in the DFW Metroplex through speaking engagements and industry field trips.

DESIGN DALLAS

Mission: To unite Fashion Design students for the purpose of mentoring, networking and achieving success at AiDallas with an emphasis on working with other people of varied backgrounds.

DRAMA CLUB

Mission: To promote and celebrate the arts through individual and collective artistic expression.Meets Thursdays at 5pm.

FLICK

Mission: To provide networking, team building, and production help to any student interested in video and film.

G.L.A.S.S.

Mission: To provide a comfortable place for Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual & Transsexual students and supporters to meet and socialize. Meets Wednesdays at 5pm.

I.M.U.G. (Interactive Media User Group)

Mission: To provide a forum for the free exchange of ideas pertaining to the ever changing Interactive Media Field. Meets Tuesdays at 12pm.

INC (The Interiors Networking Council)

Mission: INC is an umbrella group representing various professional Interior Design organizations on campus including ASID (American Society of Interior Designers) and IIDA (International Interior Design Association). INC exists to provide leadership development and enhance the student educational experience by bridging the classroom and industry through volunteer activities, networking opportunities and interaction among peers.

STUDENT COUNCIL ASSOCIATION

Mission: To promote quality representation of the student body and all clubs within the Institute. The group provides a channel of communication between students, the administration and the faculty. The group is also responsible for planning school-wide activities. Meets Wednesdays at 12pm in room 426.

STUDENT VETERANS ASSOCIATION

Mission: To assist fellow Veterans with the transition into successful academic and student life at the Art Institute of Dallas. Our meetings will offer a support system and networking opportunities with other Veterans who have walked a similar path. Meets Thursdays at 12pm.

Club Criteria

With benefits come responsibilities. Student Clubs & Organizations will be required to meet the following criteria to be approved (and remain) as a club:

  • Represented by 2 full-time students from The Art Institute of Dallas. Student leader must be in good academic, financial, and disciplinary standing with the school.
  • Advised by at least 1 full-time faculty/staff member.
  • Must hold a minimum of 2 quarterly meetings.
  • Must participate annually in 2 community service projects.
  • Must participate in school-wide marketing events (i.e. Job Fair, New Student Orientation, Open House, etc.).
  • Must have 1 representative actively participating in the Student Council Association.
  • A student leader of the group must meet with the Student Affairs Coordinator each month to report group progress, status, etc.
  • Responsible for hosting 2 events annually (i.e. outside speaker, social event, etc.).
  • Required to submit a written agenda before each meeting and minutes after each meeting to the Student Affairs Coordinator.
  • Must submit requests for Student Activity Funds by Week 12 in order to receive priority consideration.
  • No student will receive any type of compensation for participating in a student club or organization.
